Fleming County Hospital is nestled in the rolling hills of Northeastern Kentucky close to the Ohio River.

Established in 1962 as a dream of community leaders the hospital has prospered over the years and on August 2nd 2008 opened a new replacement facility. The new hospital features many private rooms, expanded operating rooms, a larger Emergency Department, new state of the art MRI equipment and many other improvements. A not for profit, county owned hospital with approximately 100,000 sq. ft., it serves residents of Fleming and surrounding counties. The hospital employs over 250 staff members and has 52 acute care beds.

Fleming County Hospital is proud of its JCAHO accreditation and it’s reputation for providing patient centered care to the thousands of people who use the hospital every year. You will find its staff are people you know and trust: your friends, neighbors and family. All our caregivers serve their patients with compassion and commitment.

Exciting opportunities exist to work in a community hospital that hasn’t forgotten about the importance of providing family like care in a healthcare setting.

Fleming County is a beautiful place to visit,
and a Great Place to Live.

Flemingsburg is a delightful town full of historic buildings and an inviting community away from stop and go traffic, zoning restrictions, stamp-sized yards, and the daily irritations of an overpopulated metropolitan suburb.

In Fleming County you can breathe easier, stretch your arms, and live as you wish with neighbors you know and trust.

Yet you are not so far away from major cities that you can't enjoy the excitement of a day or a weekend at Keeneland or River Downs race tracks, Cave Run Lake, collegiate or professional sports, King's Island Theme Park, award-winning restaurants, Cincinnati or Louisville zoos, the finest in live theater, opera, ballet, symphony, or major music concerts.

Fleming County is surrounded by beautiful rolling farmland with three lovely old wooden covered bridges. Antique shops, folk artists, and talented crafts persons complete the picture of life at an enjoyable pace. Amish and Mennonite communities enhance the countryside and give you convenient access to first rate craftsmanship in home building and hand-crafted furniture. Golf, fishing, camping, swimming, tennis, hiking, hunting, and boating are all available within the county and within a short driving distance. Simple pleasures can also be enjoyed by taking a late night stroll around the town square.

Exploring the old covered bridges in the scenic countryside is a popular tourist activity, and a guide to all of the bridges is available. Covered bridges were first built in the 1790's, but were not popular until 1814. At one time there were more than 400 covered bridges in Kentucky. Only 13 remain, with Fleming County having three. Each has their own story to tell.
