TEAMHealth Emergency Medicine
Who We Are
TeamHealth Emergency Medicine is a leading provider of emergency medicine services to hospitals and health systems
across the country and the premier practice choice for physicians. We are committed to improving the practice of emergency
medicine for our nationwide team of physicians by offering a physician-focused practice environment where physicians can
focus on treating patients while we handle all the practice management complexities.
TeamHealth was founded in 1979 by three emergency physicians, including Lynn Massingale, MD, FACEP, TeamHealth Executive
Chairman, to provide emergency department and administrative staffing services. Although the company has grown and evolved
into a premier national provider of hospital-based services across multiple clinical specialties, emergency medicine remains at the
core of what we do. Today, we provide emergency medicine services to more than 370 hospitals across the country, many of which
have been our partners for almost 35 years.
