The Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program is a year-long part-time fellowship for women faculty in schools of medicine, dentistry, public health and pharmacy. The program is dedicated to developing the professional and personal skills required to lead and manage in today’s complex health care environment, with special attention to the unique challenges facing women in leadership positions.
Dr. Donna Arnett
Dean of Public Health
Dr. Donna K. Arnett is Dean of the University of Kentucky College of Public Health and a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology. Prior to her appointment at UK in 2016, Dr. Arnett was Associate Dean and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. With 24 years of continuous NIH funding, Dr. Arnett studies genes related to hypertensive disorders and organ damage that results from hypertension -- an interest she developed early in her career while working as a clinical research nurse.
