As a 348-bed tertiary care center, the hospital offers more than 400 services, including every major specialty and most subspecialties.

Pikeville Medical Center continues to experience growth and a need for well-trained physicians.

The combination of first-class care, the best equipment available and a highly motivated support staff has enabled PMC to recruit outstanding physicians.

PMC is currently seeking new physicians and is offering generous salaries with full support staff and an excellent comprehensive benefits package.

Situated in the heart of the east Kentucky mountains, Pikeville is the financial, industrial and retail marketplace of the region.

Twice voted one of the “100 Best Small Towns in America” (Prentice Hall), Pikeville is the third largest banking center in Kentucky and is home to more than 1,400 businesses as well as top ranked schools.

Teaching opportunities are available through the University of Pikeville’s School of Osteopathic Medicine and PMC’s family practice residency program.

A wide array of recreational and outdoor activities is available, including white water rafting, hiking, biking and fishing. The rich musical and cultural heritage of the area is showcased at regional festivals, the Mountain Arts Center and the East Kentucky Expo Center.

At work, PMC offers the challenge and rewards of a progressive medical community, and at play, Pikeville provides a quality of life that is second to none.
