White House Clinics provides a full range of healthcare services through nine Community Health Centers in Jackson, Madison, Estill, Rockcastle, and Garrard Counties. We offer Pediatric, Family Practice, and Internal Medicine; Dentistry; on-site radiology;  Mental Health services; and even a full-service Pharmacy.

Clinicians practicing with White House Clinics are able to enjoy rural Kentucky while remaining within 20 minutes from Lexington and 1½ hours of Louisville and Cincinnati! Offices are located in McKee (our original home), Berea, and our newest offices in Richmond and Irvine.

In 1973, a young Kentucky doctor named Phil Curd, fresh from a term of service in the Peace Corps, was determined to find a way to use his medical training to serve those Kentuckians most in need of health care.  Jackson County was the Kentucky county most in need of a physician, so Dr. Curd hung out his shingle on a small white frame house—the house that eventually gave White House Clinics its name.

White House Clinic – McKee is the first and most developed of the nine clinics. Patients at this facility may access Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, as well as Radiology and Laboratory services.  Our currently facility was built in 1995; however renovations were completed in 2010 to expand our clinical areas.

White House Clinic – Berea
was founded in 1981. In October of 2003, a new 13,000 square foot facility was completed to house the Medical clinic previously located in Berea Hospital and a Dental clinic that had been operating in a temporary location since April of 2002. Pharmacy services were added to this location at that time. The facility received a cosmetic overhaul in 2010.  Patients at this facility have access to Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy as well as laboratory services.  

Berea Primary Care Clinic was acquired from Berea Hospital in September of 2002. Currently, two physicians and a nurse practitioner provide primary medical care at this facility.  Patients at this facility have access to Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health and laboratory services.

White House Clinic – Richmond opened in June 2004. In December, 2006, this practice moved into a new facility and expanded to offer the full scope of services offered at our other larger sites.  Patients at this location have access to Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy as well as laboratory services.

White House Clinic - Irvine was established in the summer of 2009 providing medical, dental, and pharmaceutical services to residents of the Estill County area. The staff and providers of this location moved into a permanent home in 2011, relocating from the temporary space that the clinic occupied since opening.  Patients at this location have access to Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy as well as laboratory services.

White House Clinic - Mt. Vernon was established in 2012 providing medical.  The staff and providers of this location moved into a permanent home in 2014, which allowed additional services.  Patients at this location have access to Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy as well as laboratory services.

White House Clinic - BCS was established in 2013.  White House Clinics staffs a full-time Nurse Practitioner and an LCSW which provides Medical and Behavioral Health services to all BCS students and faculty. 
White House Clinic - Paint Lick
was established in 2014.  Patients at this facility have access to Medical.

was established in 2017.  Patients at this facility have access to Medical.

McKee - Jackson County
McKee is the original home community of White House Clinics. Located in the heart of Jackson County, McKee and the surrounding communities form some of the most famous hiking areas.  
One fourth of Jackson County is Daniel Boone National Forest (56,000 acres), making it representative of Eastern Kentucky’s unique Appalachian topography, wildlife, and heritage.  With its proximity to Richmond and Lexington, it provides the advantage and low cost of living of a small community with easy access to the amenities of a liberal arts college town and a major urban area. 

Berea - Madison County
Berea is a thriving community of artists, students, and progressively minded individuals committed to community, creativity, social justice, and environmental responsibility. World-renowned artists and craftspeople operate over 40 shops and studios. Berea College is consistently a nationally top-ranked school with exemplary students not only from Kentucky but more than 60 countries. Rich history, vibrant creativity, and continuing vision combine to make Berea a compelling travel destination for art and history buffs alike.

Richmond - Madison County
Richmond is home to one of White House Clinic's locations as well as to Eastern Kentucky University. Historic Downtown Richmond is one of the finest restored 19th century commercial districts in Kentucky. Richmond boasts over 100 buildings on the National Register. The Downtown Commercial District is home to fine retail and antique stores, restaurants, and businesses.  While Richmond has long been considered a bedroom community of Lexington because of the short 15 minute drive to reach the city, Richmond is now growing into a suburban city of its own right.  Recent economic growth has resulted in the addition of new shopping and dining locales as well as a beautiful homes at a reasonable price.

Irvine - Estill County
Estill County is blessed to be nestled “Where the Bluegrass Kisses the Mountains”. The legendary scenic beauty of Estill County is largely embodied in the Daniel Boone National Forest. When you visit Estill County, you are seeing the spectacular land that Daniel Boone once explored-streams, steep forest ridges and natural arches.

Mt. Vernon - Rockcastle County 
Rockcastle County is home to Renfro Valley where you can tour the Kentucky Music Hall of Fall.  If you are more of an outdoor enthusiast you can enjoy the scenic beauty and a relaxing day at the Rockcastle River on a kayak or paddle board. Hiking, fishing, golf, down home cooking and quaint shops with friendly folks are all waiting for you!

Paint Lick - Garrard County
Paint Lick is a small community in Garrard County.  It lies along Routes 21 and 52 east of the city of Lancaster, the county seat of Garrard County.

Lancaster - Garrard County 
Lancaster is the county seat of Garrard County and sits in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.  Lancaster and Garrard County boast four former governors and the beautifully restored Governor William Owsley House in Lancaster serves as a popular tourist attraction.
